Your New Site is Ready!
Welcome to Voltron, Vital’s new WordPress Block Theme focused on adding the Site Editor into your build. Using the tools built into this site, any admin user can quickly and easily configure the global options that define the Style Guide, edit or add Templates, Template Parts, and of course Block Patterns!

Getting Started
This theme comes ready-to-go with a collection of Blocks, Patterns, Templates, and Post Types that should cover the basics for building out most typical pages. Unless you really like Catppuccin and Arial, the first thing you’ll probably want to do is get into the Style section of the Site Editor where you can customize the Typography and Color settings (probably in that order).
But I can’t change the spacing in here.
Yeah that’s a weird gap in the functionality… WordPress will likely update that at some point! In the meantime, we do still have developers. Get yours to update this in the theme.json file.
Need to add new a custom block?
You might be thinking of adding it to the child theme, but don’t! Instead, use @wordpress/create-block to make a new custom block plugin. Not feeling comfortable with React, or just miss the comfort of ACF and server-side rendering? Check out skeletor-block-boilerplate (yes, pun intended).
Do you really?
Also take a moment to consider, do you really need to make a whole block? Could you just make a Variation of an existing one instead? Maybe a whole pattern with { "templateLock": "contentOnly" } turned on could work without adding new functionality that needs to be QA’d. Watch this video from the WordPress Developer Hours!
